ITF Training · By application

You've stopped
getting better by
just playing more.

ITF Training is the step past classes: one semi-private with Carol and one competitive training every week, built around the tournaments you actually want to win. Twelve players. Not a class you can just book.

Who this is for

The wall every good player hits.

You're a solid B or A player. You win locally. You've played a tournament or two and found out how far the level goes above you — and that more group classes and more open play aren't closing that gap.

They can't. Group classes are built to move four players forward together. What you need is somebody watching only you — finding the one flaw in your smash setup, the pattern you keep losing points to, the second serve you avoid under pressure — and then a weekly session at full competitive intensity to make the fix hold when the score is 5-5.

That's the whole design of ITF Training: diagnose in the semi-private, prove it in the competitive session, take it to a sanctioned draw.

This is you if…
  • You've been at the same level for 6+ months despite training regularly
  • You want ITF ranking points, not just local trophies
  • You'd train twice a week if the sessions actually moved the needle
  • You want an honest answer about how good you could get
Not you if you're still learning the game — start with classes and get to Level B first. We'll tell you straight when you're ready.
The package

Two sessions a week.
Both of them yours.

01
One semi-private with Carol

Two players, one coach, every week. This is where the technical work happens — stroke mechanics, serve, smash, the specific shots costing you matches. Carol is the only BTS-certified head coach in the USA, and in a semi-private you get her full attention on your game, not a share of four.

Weekly · max 2 players
02
One competitive training

Full-intensity match play with the strongest players in the club. Live points, tactical patterns, pressure situations, and the physical side — movement in sand, recovery, holding technique when you're tired. This is where the semi-private work gets tested.

Weekly · high intensity

  • Weekly semi-private with Carol
  • Weekly competitive training

Not bookable online. Every player talks to us first so we can be honest about fit — and about whether the level is right for you yet.
Sponsored-rate note: players competing in pro tournaments in BTSM / Vision gear train at $395 / month. That's a representation arrangement, not a discount you can select — ask us about it when we talk.
The point of it

An ITF ranking, from your home beach.

Most American players never start competing internationally because the entry path looks opaque and the nearest sanctioned event is a flight away. It isn't anymore — we run ITF-sanctioned BT10s on Santa Monica Beach. You can earn your first world ranking points fifteen minutes from home.

1
Train with intent

Two sessions a week aimed at a specific event, not at "improving in general".

2
Get your IPIN

Your ITF player licence. We walk you through registration and entry — the part most players get stuck on.

3
Play a home BT10

Four sanctioned events a year on our own sand, with your coach courtside.

4
Climb the grades

Points from BT10s open BT50s and beyond. That's a real international career path.

The Vision BT10s Series

Four ITF-sanctioned BT10 events on Santa Monica Beach across the fall — September 20, October 18, November 20 and November 22. $35 per player, per event.

The BTSM Vision Team.

The Vision Team is the small group of BTSM players who represent the club — and our sponsor, Vision — at tournaments across the country and at ITF events. They train together, travel together, and play in Vision gear with BTSM on their back.

You can't sign up for it. Players are invited once they're competing seriously and representing the club well — on the sand and off it. ITF Training is how most of them got there.

One conversation

Find out how far you could actually go.

Tell us what you play, what you've entered and what you're aiming at. We'll tell you honestly whether ITF Training is the right next step — and if it isn't yet, what is.
